The training section is coordinated by Denis Clark, BA, MA, LLM, Principal Lecturer, Criminal Justice Studies, Department of Policy Studies, University of Lincoln.

For many years Denis has specialised in teaching Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Evidence on BSc, MSc and LLB programmes. He regularly consults for Government and UK police forces.

Formally a senior detective in the Metropolitan Police, Denis is especially experienced in the use of informants, surveillance and covert investigation and is currently undertaking research into the working practices of informant handlers after the Regulation of Investigative Powers Act. He is also reviewing the admissibility of evidence gained by covert policing techniques.

Training areas include :

Criminal Law
Terrorism
Risk Management
Covert Operations

Training topics are developed in response to both environmental changes and future scanning. Relevant groups are then informed of the dates and location of the sessions.

Bespoke training is also provided to specific groups within both the public and private sectors.
