TRAINING
The training section is coordinated
by Denis Clark, BA, MA, LLM, Principal Lecturer, Criminal
Justice Studies, Department of Policy Studies, University
of Lincoln.
For many years Denis has specialised in teaching
Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Evidence on BSc, MSc
and LLB programmes. He regularly consults for Government
and UK police forces.
Formally a senior detective in the Metropolitan
Police, Denis is especially experienced in the use of informants,
surveillance and covert investigation and is currently undertaking
research into the working practices of informant handlers
after the Regulation of Investigative Powers Act. He is
also reviewing the admissibility of evidence gained by covert
policing techniques.

Training topics are developed in response
to both environmental changes and future scanning. Relevant
groups are then informed of the dates and location of the
sessions.
Bespoke training is also provided to specific
groups within both the public and private sectors.
